Welcome to my World

This is an introduction I did a year ago on a different website. I just found it so I wanted to share.

I wanted to start my new blog by just giving you an introduction of myself and my family. I’m Aidin Gonzalez. I was born on Aug 5th 1981 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. I lived in Villalba, Puerto Rico until I was about 4 when my family was moved to Arcadia, where I still reside.
I lived a sheltered life. My mom thought raising us (my brother and myself) was with church, working around the house, and an iron fist. But that’s another story.  Everything worked out well for my parents till I was about 10 or 11. That’s when my life started to spiral. My mom said I was screaming around the house asking someone to kill me.
At age 12 I was diagnosed with depression. Spent years in therapy. Didn’t seem to help. When I turned 15 I started rebelling. I was like the hell with church and the hell with my family. Rebellion lasted a while, part of me thinks I still do it because I think differently then my parents and because I think they didn’t give me the childhood most people should have gotten. But, yet again, that’s another story.
Now, fast-forward a few years. I was 22 when I meat Carmelo. I thought it was perfect but I was naive. I thought this man was family material but he was more like a toad the a frog prince. I can’t complain too much because of him I was able to fulfill a life dream. Becoming a mother. I’ve always want a child of my own that I could love no matter what happened in life. I gave birth to Jeremiah Alexander on June 6th 2005. Shortly before my 24th birthday. I loved it all. I think I would have loved it more if his father was there. Like I said , he was(is) a toad. Luckily my mom stepped in. She spend her whole 25th wedding anniversary by my side.
Now by this time I came into more health problems. Lower back issues, knee pain, depression, bi-polor disease. Later in life I find out I have an autoimmune disease called Psoriastic arthritis and fibermyalga. So not only was I dealing with a mental disorder but constant pain and discomfort.
After a disagreement with a landlord I was forced to move back in with my parents. Yeah it sucks but it’s better than being out in the streets with a child. My son moved back into his old room while (now I see it as a good thing) I was moved into my dad’s shed out in the backyard. At first I didn’t want to do it because it was Mid-June and there was no way I was living in a tin can with no AC but we made it happen and now I have a private “dorm”. I have an AC, internet, a fridge, and a section that is now my kitchen. If I need to use the bathroom I go in the house. See what I mean as I’m treating it as a dorm?
Now, to the good part. You know how people say they fell in love with their best friend? Well I fell in love with my best friend. Mike Farris  at the time was an ex-boyfrend but we stayed in touch and because very good friends. I dated this other guy but that didn’t last. Shortly after he and I broke up, Mike tells me he still loved me and I realized I still loved him. So we started dating again. We did things together as a family. We’d go to the beach, walk the mall, we’ve gone to the zoo but it wasn’t until we went to Disney World’s Magic Kingdom that things changed. While we waiting for our turn to go into my favorite ride (Under the Sea) when Mike asked me to marry him. Now I’ve been engaged before so I was scared but I said yes because I knew Mike was the perfect partner for Jeremiah and me.
Now as we face a May 4th wedding (but a May 6th celebration) yet everything is getting better. Jeremiah loves how Mike pays attention to him and how they play games together. I love how Mike makes the effort to include Jeremiah is things. I’m hoping soon we will have a house together and everything ready for the wedding.
Now I forgot to say something. Because I’ve been dealing with all these problems with my health I applied for social security benefits. I’ve been filing since 2012 but it wasn’t till 2015 that I said the hell with it and hired a lawyer. So cross your fingers and hope I get it. It would help us out so much.
Alright, I think that’s enough introductions. I’m a good person but I’ve done a lot of dumb things in my life. I’ve seen and done things both good and bad. However, I’m still a person that will be at your side when you need something to talk about and if someone hurts you I can be an evil person to mess with. I’m a wee bit psycho.
Oh, I am now a witch. Well my new religion is Wicca so instead of me ending with a phrase today or with a small poem. I’ll simple saying Blessed Be and may the God and Goddess bless you as they have blessed me.

Chapter Seven

Carolyn was in her room one afternoon looking for the next day's outfit. She's been spending more time with Eric but she's noticed he's been distracted and checking on her more the last few days. She tried spending time with her sister before coming to her room. Bethany was excited school was almost over. Her birthday will be next month. Turning eighteen.

Carolyn wasn't sure how she felt about Bethany turning eighteen. She remembered what it was like for her. She just wanted to have freedom to stay out with her friends and not have a curfew. Bethany wanted to be eighteen because she knew she'd start college soon.

But with Eric she was confused. He was always so sweet and wanted to see her smile as he smiled himself. But after a day or two she noticed he wasn't his usual carefree person. Though she didn't know him any other way, she knew that something wasn't right. He would check on her at work a few times, insisting he walk her to her car. She even thought he followed her home once. Whatever was bothering Eric, it wasn't good.

Finally it was Friday. Carolyn made plans to go out to dinner with Beth and their cousins, Loriana and Kate. The four haven't seen much of each other in the last few months so a dinner out would be a good way to catch up.

When Carolyn came home, she showered and dressed in her favorite jeans and Cami.

"Beth are you ready?"

"Yep." Beth walked out of her room wearing shorts and a baby T.

"We have to meet Loriana at Joe's. Come on."

They drove the short distance to their favorite burger shop. There, they were met up with a tall brunette and a slider blond. Kate and Loriana. The four cousins hugged and waited for their table. Once seated, and drinks ordered, they started exchanging stories.

"I'm still working at Georgia Peach. We now are in the running for best restaurant in Port Charlotte." Announced Kate.

"I'm focusing on school. I'm determined to get my RN license but next year. Until then, I don't mind helping out in the hospital." Loriana seemed.

"Carolyn has been helping me get ready for exams. I was thinking of finding a job but if I'm moving to Tampa in August there's no point."

"How are things with Clinton, Kate?"

"He's amazing. I swear I hit the jackpot."

"Carolyn started seeing a guy. He's cute and really sweet."

"He's bearly been around you. But he is cute."

"Oh, do tell." Loriana wondered.

"He works in the same building as me. His name is Eric Gooden. We've only been seeing each other for a few weeks."

"Is he coming to Bethany's graduation?"

"I haven't asked him, Loriana."

Kate asked, "when will we meet him and do you have a picture?"

"I'm not showing him off yet but," Carolyn searched through her phone. "This is what he looks like."

The other pair of sister cousins took turn looking.

"I love his eyes, " Loriana mentioned.

"He's really cute, Carolyn."

"Thank you." Carolyn said as she took her phone back from Kate.

"So what are you doing for the weekend, Loriana?"

As the four cousins talked, Carolyn couldn't shake the feeling someone was watching her. She looked around but no one was looking. She tired to relax and enjoy the conversations and dinner but she could shake the feeling.

Once home she thought about calling Eric and seeing what his plans were but instead asked Bethany is she wanted to go to the beach and then go to a movie.

She didn't hear from Eric all weekend. She figured he must of had something come up. By Monday morning she found a reason to go upstairs and see him but they told her he was out for the week.

Finding it odd to ask for a week off after just starting. Whatever pulled him away must have been important. Still, Carolyn found herself missing him by the weekend.

Eric finally called her Sunday night.

"Sorry I've been away and haven't called but I've been dealing with family issues."

"It's fine. Did everything get sorted out?"

"No." He answered. "I'm going up again soon but I need work to keep my mind busy."

"OK, so I'll see you in the morning?"

"Yes."

"Good. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Carolyn, sleep well."

When Carolyn was going to bed, she stopped and looked out the window. This time she saw someone. They weren't looking at her but the person creeped her out either way. She ignored it and went to bed.

Little did she know that the figure outside was forming a plan to take her away.

Chapter Six

Eric walked into the mayor's office Monday morning knowing at some point that day he'd see Carolyn. The thought of her made him wish he had an excuse to go visit but at the moment he didn't. Instead he started on the list of names that needed to be placed in the mayor's hand by the end of the week.

He saw no sign of her Monday. Tuesday either. Thinking she's avoiding him again he made an excuse to see her at her office. There she was looking over some paperwork, chewing in the end of her pen wearing a cream colored shirt and a maroon skirt. She was a vision.

"Avoiding me?" Eric asked boldly.

Startled, Carolyn looked up at Eric smiling. "Um, no. This assignment really has me frazzled. I did I'd mean to call you. I wanted to know if you wanted to have lunch soon?"

Eric chuckled. "You read my mind. When would you like to go?"

"How about today? There's a place just down the road that sells really good subs."

"Sounds great. So I'd say 1 o'clock?"

Carolyn smiled, "sure."

Eric smiled as he walked away.

1 o'clock rolled around. Carolyn sauntered into the deputy Major's office. "So, Mr Gooden, ready for lunch?"

"You're going to make the hike in heels?" Eric joked as he made his way around the desk.

"I could walk in them fine. Come on. I'm hungry."

The two walked over to A's Sub Shop.

"So, tell me more about this life mate thing?" Carolyn asked as she put down her Cuban sandwich.

Eric took a bite out his pickle before answering. "This is how it works. Our auras match and it's like that for everyone. No two partners are the same. It's like a fingerprint analysis. No two are the same, not even with twins. Anyways, your aura is golden with blue jagged lines. If I put it my aura next to yours they would be exactly the same pattern."

"Now how do you know your own pattern?"

"Good question." Eric replied, "I know what mine looks like because I've seen it. Well, through the eyes of my Mistress."

"Now, tell me about your...coven was it?" Carolyn took a bite out of her chips.

"The coven is simply a bunch of Pagans that gather together and do spiritual things together. Like when the moon is full we build a bonfire, dance and ask the Goddess to bring blessings among us."

"That sounds simple. So what about spells and incantations?"

"There are spells and only a special few can actually use powers. Like healing."

"What about things like the Power of Three? Like in Charmed?"

Eric snared at her. "That show is an abomination. Gives off the wrong conception of what real Pagans do. But to answer your question, no we don't have powers like that. We believe in Karma."

"Well that seems like you got the short end of the stick. Anyways, we should get going."

Eric finished off his turkey club. "I agree. We need to talk more often. Anything you want answered, I'll answer them to the best of my abilities."

"Thanks."

The pair walked back to city hall. Making mild conversation. It turned out Carolyn was smarter than Eric first thought. During the walk, he couldn't help but to smile at her. The sun beamed off her red hair and small pieces were falling out of the messy knot she was currently sporting.

Once back in his office, Eric decided to make plans to introduce Carolyn to the coven. It only seemed right to show off his mate. Mistresses Emily and Dana would love her.

Thinking of Mistress Dana, he called her. No answer but he left a voicemail to call him back. It wants like her not to take his calls so expected a quick call back.

By 7 o'clock, no call back. He tried calling her back but still no answer. Getting worried he called Mistress Emily.

"Eric, I'm so glad you called. We are having a...well a problem here."

"What kind of problem?"

There was a pause. "Jared is back."

Eric was in full alert mode now. "Where's Dana?"

"She's in a safe house for now."

"How did he find her?"

Mistress Emily paused again. "We believe, the Elders and I, that we have a wolf among us."

"Emily, I can't lose my little sister."

"We're doing whatever we can to protect her. However, I would be more concerned with you. He did threatened to come after you."

"I can take care of myself. Just...just take care of Dana. I can't lose another sister."

Chapter Five

Carolyn woke in a daze. She blinked a few times and looked around. She wasn't her room. Eric wasn't in the room either. Then memories of the night before.

She smiled. Making love to Eric was an experience she hasn't expected.

She looked around and saw her overnight bag sitting next to the bed. Clutching the sheets closer to her, she went to retrieve it. Inside were a pair of jeans, a T-shirt and a fresh pair of undergarments.

"Good morning." Eric said as he walked in the room. "I left early to get you a change of clothes. I didn't think you wanted to leave here wearing last night's dress."

Carolyn smiled. "Thank you. That was very thoughtful of you."

Eric chuckled, "I'm afraid I might have risen some questions from your sister. She looked confused and  anxious."

"Oh Lord. She's going to pin me down and make me talk."

"Do you talk a lot to your sister?" Eric asked as he sat down on the corner of the bed.

"Yes. And the fact I had sex with you on our first date is something she and I are going to talk about."

"There was nothing wrong with last night." Eric said firmly. "You are my life mate. I wanted to claim you but I had to make sure you were ok with it. I wouldn't have forced you to do anything you didn't want to do."

"Still I would like to talk to my sister about some things. And if it's ok with you. I'd like to do research on Pagan. I don't know anything about it. I've always been told witchcraft was the devil's work."

Eric scoffed. "If you're going to do your research it's called Wicca. If you would like to met some other witches I can ask someone from my coven to comr down. Wicca, Paganism, witchcraft. It's all the same. We worship everything around us. Just like I will worship you."

Carolyn couldn't help but smile. It seemed infectious whenever she was around him. She wanted to do anything just to keep him talking.

But reality called. "If you don't mind showing me to the bathroom. I really should shower and get ready to leave. Bethany is probably going crazy waiting for me."

"Of course. Bathroom is through that door and clean towels are on the stand. Take all the time you need."

Carolyn uttered a thank you as she grabbed her bag. She was about to ask Eric to leave when he was already heading out the door, closing it behind him.

Once alone in the bathroom, Carolyn relieved herself and tried to take a quick shower. She didn't want to use up his hot water. Although, the shower was relaxing.

She was able to have a more level head. Sleeping with a man on a first date was not her MO. Bethany would have been worried. Her sister knew of her past relationships and didn't care for Jake. Thinking he had no heart. After all, their mother was dying.

Once out f the shower, she grabbed a towel and quickly went to work on drying off. The minutes seemed slow despite her trying to rush.

A knock at the door startled her.

"Coffee is on the counter. Thought you might like a cup before you leave."

Eric seemed genuine. "That's great but I should get going." She opened the door seeing his tall frame blocking the door.

"Have a cup with me. I think we can talk a little more."

"Alright." Carolyn put everything back in her bag then followed Eric to the kitchen. "You say you're in a coven, what is that exactly?"

Eric handed her her cup, offering her sugar and cream. "A coven is just a bunch of witches that gather together. We pray, cast spells, and practice healing."

"So it really is like a religion?"

"Yes. We just go outside and pray under the moon instead of going to a building."

"Seems simpler." Carolyn sipping her coffee.

"It is."

"Thank you for the coffee but I really should go."

Eric's smile dissipated. "If you insist. I'll walk you out." He followed her out the door but before she could get in the car Eric kissed her.

Carolyn smiled which only had Eric deepen the kiss.

"Have a safe drive home."

Carolyn drove home not looking forward to facing her baby sister.

"What the hell, Carol?!"

"Sorry Beth. I didn't go there intending to spend the night."

"I was worried about you after Eric left here. You always told never on the first date."

"I know but something is different with him. Look, I know you have a ton of questions but so do I. And right now I just want to go to my room."

"Carolyn, you've been different since you met this guy. I don't want him to turn out like another Jason or Jake."

"Something tells me this guy is different." Carolyn walked to her room. She dropped her bag on the bed and fired up her laptop.

Eric said to research things and she planned on it.

Carolyn's phone rang some hours later. So far everything Eric has told her has facts to back it up.

"Hello?" She asked without really looking at who it was.

"Carolyn, it Jane. How are you?"

She loved her friends but how was she suppose to explain to them that she is a life mate to a witch?

"I'm doing great. How's your life going?"

"Boring. I thought maybe the two of us could catch a movie and then get a couple of drinks."

"Tempting. Truly."

"Why do I think a but is coming next?"

"No. I think it'd be a good idea. I need to talk to you about this new guy anyways."

"New guy? Oh yes, you have to go out now."

Carolyn laughed at Jane's enthusiasm. "OK. I'll be at your house in ten minutes." She hung up and reached out for her purse. She felt bad ditching Bethany but she needed to talk openly about Eric and she couldn't do that with Beth.

Three hours later Carolyn and Jane were at the local bar with drinks in hand.

"So you see why I'm worried about continuing anything with him?"

"Carolyn Stemp, I swear you have the weirdest luck. Remember that one guy a few months ago that kept trying to buy you a drink? He had weird all over him."

"Yeah but I kinda like Eric. I wouldn't mind going out with him again."

"We have a winner people." Jane exaggerated.

Carolyn laughed. "I swear I can't go anywhere with you."

"Well do you at least have a picture of this guy?"

"No. I'll get one for you next time." Carolyn scanned the bar to see a few familiar faces but there was one that stood out.

It was the same guy Jane was just talking about. He was taller than her but shorter than Eric. Black long hair pulled back in a ponytail and dark tanned skin. He looked cute enough but failed in comparison to Eric now that he was in her life.

"Carolyn!"

"I'm sorry. What?"

"Good heavens girl, you look like you've seen a ghost."

"Sorry. Been spacey all day."

"So I've noticed." Jane commented. "Hey, let's get out of here. I have to be at work early tomorrow."

Work. It's been a week since Eric entered her life and how it's changed as well. Giving one last look at tall, dark, and weird the two friends left.

While in her living room watching TV with Bethany Carolyn kept thinking of Eric. She hadn't spoken to him today but she guessed he was giving her space.

"Night, Bethy."

However, Carolyn didn't get a good night's rest. Her mind was on the guy at the bar and fire.

Carolyn woke with a fright but just diced the dream down to a simple nightmare. Not knowing he was outside giving her the dreams.

No. The guy outside wasn't making a move. Not yet. He needed to wait for the right time.
